Important Safety Recall for Certain Staccato Ammunition
At Staccato Ammunition (“SA”) our goal is to provide the best ammunition to our customers. Recently, certain ammunition has not performed according to our expectations. Specifically, certain ammunition experienced misfires (failure to fire in response to a proper firing pin strike) for reasons unrelated to the firearms in which it was being used. SA conducted an investigation into this issue and has determined that certain 9mm Range, Match, and Reman ammunition manufactured during the period from October 2025 through January 2026 was made using hardened primer cups. Certain of these primers may fail to ignite even with a proper firing pin strike.
SA Range, Match, and Reman ammunition is made for purposes of target shooting. There is a potential for death or serious personal injury, however, if ammunition fails to fire when a firearm is being used for purposes of self-defense. Because SA fully stands behind its ammunition, it is voluntarily initiating a recall of all affected ammunition. This recall solely applies to lot numbers 000697 through 001078.
If you purchased any SA 9mm Range, Match, and/or Reman ammunition that may be covered by this recall and have any rounds remaining, please stop using it until you have determined whether it is subject to this recall. The photographs below show where to locate the lot number on the ammunition boxes. If the lot numbers of your ammunition are not within the range of 000697 through 001078, it is not subject to the recall, and you can continue using it. If any of your ammunition has lot numbers 000697 through 001078 on the box, SA will replace it with new ammunition free of charge using the following steps:
- Step 1 – Please fill out the recall form at the following link:
You will need to provide the lot number listed on the side of the ammunition box and the number of cases/boxes/rounds you have remaining.
- Step 2 – After confirming that your ammunition is subject to this recall, we will send you a prepaid shipping label with instructions so that you can return it to us, free of charge.
- Step 3 – We will ship new replacement ammunition to you free of charge within ten days after receiving the ammunition you are returning.
We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause.
